The conference

The CJC-MA is aimed at young researchers. It is the initiative of the SMAI and will take place from September 25 to September 27, 2023 at CentraleSupélec under the aegis of its Mathematics Federation (FdM).

The aim of the meeting is to integrate young researchers into the scientific community, give visibility to their research, create opportunities for scientific exchange between young and more experienced researchers in various fields of mathematics and their applications (Numerical Analysis, Optimal Control, PDE, Geometry, Probability, Statistics, Dynamical Systems, etc), and inform PhD and post-doctoral students about academic careers.

In addition to the three plenary lectures, participants will have the opportunity to present their work in parallel sessions (including one dedicated to health and biology). To ensure interaction, a poster session, a round table on scientific careers and workshops will also be organized. The latter will be led by more experienced researchers, to deepen discussions and initiate potential collaborations. A dinner will be offered to participants on the evening of Tuesday 26th.

Practical information

  • Submission: The call for presentations, posters and discussions will close on June 30, 2023. Submissions related to mathematics applied to health and/or biology are encouraged. To submit a paper, create a HAL / ScienceConf account, then click on New submission in the side menu. A title and abstract are mandatory for each submission, but you can also upload an additional file if you wish. Presentation files will only be requested in the run-up to or during the conference.
  • Registration: The conference is free and open to all, but for obvious organizational reasons, participants are asked to register before July 31, 2023. Submissions related to mathematics applied to health and/or biology are encouraged. To register, create a HAL / ScienceConf account, then click on Register in the side menu.
  • Limited financial aid for accommodation is available. Applications will be taken under consideration until the end of June, with early requests treated with priority. If such help is needed, please contact us at: cjc-ma2023@smai.emath.fr.
